Catering Etiquette for Corporate Events

Catering Etiquette for Corporate Events

The single biggest mistake in corporate catering is treating the meal as logistics rather than hospitality. The food is the shortest, most personal interaction your guests will have with your company that day. Don't waste it.

Time meals to the agenda, not the venue's preferred slot. A 12:30 lunch service after a 9 AM start is brutal. Either feed people at noon sharp or build in a real coffee break with substantial bites at 10:30.

Label everything. Allergen labels protect your guests and protect you. We label every dish at every event — even when the client doesn't ask.

Resist the urge to cut costs on dessert. The end of the meal is what people remember. Spend the extra $4 a head.
